Lecture: How Much Strength is Needed to Run Fast?

Last year, Giorgio Frinolli was a speaker at the first edition of the SpeedFestival, and due to the success of his presentation, we invited him back this year. This time, his lecture will focus on the topic "How Much Strength is Needed to Run Fast?"

A descendant of a prestigious sporting dynasty, Giorgio followed in the footsteps of his father, Roberto Frinolli, specializing in the 400-meter hurdles. As an athlete, he won a silver medal at the Mediterranean Games in 1993 and competed in the World Championships in Stuttgart and the Sydney Olympics in 2000.

After retiring from competition, Frinolli successfully transitioned to coaching, working with young talents at Area Atletica in Rome. He has played a key role in the development of top athletes like Jessica Paoletta, Zainab Dosso, and Lorenzo Simonelli, solidifying his status as a prominent figure in Italian athletics. Additionally, he is an expert in Velocity-Based Training (VBT), which he effectively incorporates into his coaching methodology to optimize athletic performance.
